It’s been a while since we’ve introduced ourselves, so I wanted to take a moment to say "Hello" and say a few words about our scented candle business. 
We know you could've just gone to the nearest Yankee Candle store, but you must be interested in something more than an ordinary paraffin candle, which is why you're here.

Maybe you found us at a local craft show (we’ve done a LOT of pop-up shops over the last 5 years), or maybe you’ve just done a search for locally made, hand poured candles. Either way, we’re so happy you’re here!
Local California Candles
For those who are new to Scented Designs, my name is Kate and I am the owner and candlemaker of this San Jose candle company of mine. We’ve been making candles since 2012 and in business since 2016.
We are woman-owned and -operated in San Francisco Bay Area, and we sell to retailers and customers across the country.
My background is in education - not business - so I’ve had to learn a lot along the way...
...from launching my business at our first pop-up shop to now selling on multiple wholesale platforms including Faire and Abound in order to help retailers find high quality wholesale candles for resale.
Handmade Soy Candles
At Scented Designs, each of our soy wax candles is wicked by hand, then hand-poured, then hand labeled, and packaged (that’s right - by hand!) in our home studio in San Jose. It’s definitely a process and there is almost always wax everywhere. All of that to bring our California soy candles to you!
We work hard to bring you safe scents and clean-burning candles, and we are continuously working to be a more eco-friendly, sustainable business.
We are 1% for the Planet members and we are also in the process of becoming Leaping Bunny certified, something that we’re very excited about!
