Holiday Decorating

Here's the one thing you've been forgetting when it comes to decorating your home for the holidays...

Christmas candle by the christmas tree

I was honored to be a contributing expert to a Livingetc article all about scentscaping recently and they had some great things to say!

Side note: If you're not familiar with Livingetc, they're a fabulous publication dedicated to the interior design and style. I just love their mission statement: "to report on the now and next in home design and style. Breaking trends, making trends, and offering so much expert insight you have all the decor knowledge you could need."

Holiday Scentscaping

Scentscaping is essentially the way in which you arrange fragrances in your home.

In the article, they highlight the importance of scentscaping in creating a calming and immersive environment within your home! Scent is a component of interior design that's often overlooked, but here at Scented Designs, we know just how important it is to incorporate delicious and nontoxic scents within your home.

After contributing to this article, I was inspired to create our own guide to scentscaping for the Holidays, Scented Designs style!

Check it out below.

For the living room, we recommend:

White Birch Apothecary Jar + Warm & Cozy Glass Jar

Scentscaping Pro Tip from Livingetc: First think about the size of the room and how this might be impacted by scent.

Scentscaping Pro Tip from Livingetc: Layering is the most important part of the process, and working layer on layer you can build the festive scene to your liking.
